About GreenSport Hub & methodology

GreenSport Hub is a practical digital decision-support environment developed within the GreenSport project to help sports organisations assess sustainability, prioritise actions, monitor operational data, manage facilities and extend the useful life of sports equipment. The Beta version is being tested with project partners and stakeholders; features and methodologies may be refined from pilot feedback.

Assessment

The baseline covers seven areas: energy & facilities, water, waste & circularity, mobility, governance, digital readiness and inclusion. Questions are self-assessed from 1–5. Each section score is the mean response ×20; the overall /100 score is the equal-weight mean of the seven section scores.

It is decision support, not certification or a regulatory compliance assessment.

Operational data

Energy, water, waste, mobility and CO₂ data are organisation-provided records. CO₂ entries should document whether values are self-reported, supplier-reported or calculated, together with the emission-factor source, year, calculation note and evidence reference.

GreenSport does not independently verify user-entered environmental figures.

Circular Sport

A completed transfer records circular activity confirmed through the platform. Quantity, retained value, weight or life-extension fields can support monitoring where evidence exists.

A confirmed transfer is not by itself proof of avoided CO₂, avoided waste or other environmental impact.

Data governance

Organisation workspaces use role-aware access and row-level controls for organisation-scoped records. Public Circular Sport records are deliberately separated from private operational records.

Project evidence and free-text evidence are not sent to ProjectAdvisoryAI through URL parameters.

Project logic

The Hub operationalises a simple improvement cycle: understand the baseline → choose realistic actions → implement and record evidence → track measurable data → learn from resources and peers → prepare investment or funding where needed. During Beta, stakeholder feedback is part of validation and refinement.

EU funding visibility: GreenSport Hub is developed as a project result in a European cooperation context. Formal programme, grant and beneficiary wording shown in project communication materials remains the authoritative source for funding acknowledgement. This page intentionally does not invent a grant number or legal funding statement that is not configured in the app.
